All of Alex’s classes are long enough to kick your butt but short enough that you can definitely squeeze into a busy day! He gives you plenty of modifications to make exercises easier or more challenging for each person and depending on your fitness level! Plus you don’t have to go to a busy gym, you can do it from home! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fitness trainer experience.

We're both high school teachers, George teaching Latin, and Megan teaching Technology. The workouts always feel fresh and fun, and the length of the workouts are perfect. Long enough to get in a great workout, but short enough that you always feel like you have enough time to fit into a busy day. Alex always seems to find a way to make the sessions fun, motivating, comedic, and has the perfect explanations to fix certain aspects of movements we'd normally take for granted. On top of all that, Alex always ends his workouts with meditation to help bring peace and mindfulness to the rest of our days. We end up feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally better after the workouts.

I am a high school history teacher. My favorite part about The Formula experience is the dynamism of each workout. We're able to get a lot done in the 30-40minute period. Alex is extremely effective in designing these workouts, to make sure our heart rates are up, and we're getting a really good sweat in each and every time. Alex is live with you while you are working out in each and every session. Whether it's his critical feedback, his administration of several physical cues throughout the exercises. I find this really helpful and very motivational, in terms of completing the work out, and making sure I'm getting everything done correctly. I have a 2 year old daughter at home and needless to say, our days are jam-packed, extremely hectic, and thus far, The Formula has made sure that I get a high quality work out in, in a short amount of time.

Originally I’m from NJ, but I work out with The Formula from the Central Time Zone (most of the time) in Lubbock, Texas, where I’m a professor at Texas Tech. My favorite part of The Formula has been the community and the accountability that it provides (I look forward to 6:30CT workouts and do NOT schedule anything over them) AND the continual challenge and progress that I have seen. I started The Formula just having been cleared to exercise post-shoulder surgery (I was WEAK and warned that being cleared did NOT mean I was allowed to do whatever I used to do) and Alex gave me (and still gives me) lots of modifications anytime I need them. The workouts are challenging but not impossible because of the different levels Alex provides (Formulite, #PsychoMode). I have also noticed tremendous progress in my strength, definition, and endurance, and I’m continuing to improve as I keep showing up, keep listening, and laughing at Alex’s jokes to distract me from how long I’m holding that plank for. I also love finishing the workout with meditation and a discussion of questions/pointers for the next time we incorporate the move into the workout. I’ve done a lot of other workout guides but have never been this consistent, and I’m so grateful for the accountability of the live classes AND the modifications that Alex provides. Without them I would surely be injured or have given up by now. 10/10 kettle bells. Definitely would recommend.

I like how Alex will tell you to fix your form when he sees it and once you fix it you feel how the exercise is supposed to be. While the meetings might have more than one person it really feels like one on one. Alex also makes the meetings enjoyable and it makes you want to get up the next day and not miss the time slots!

My favorite part of the challenge has been realizing that I’m capable of more than I thought.  I was nervous that this might be beyond my skill and fitness level, but Alex does a great job explaining proper form and technique as well as offering modifications.  He will also push you and help you push yourself, and as a result I’ve become stronger and gained a lot of confidence.

I really enjoy how you introduce movements that break up normal patterns and overall just really like the cadence of what you put together. For a daily routine, it’s succinct and to the point, some days wishing for more, but that’s a good thing.
